TTEC Telecommunications Principal Engineer in Hyderabad, India

What You’ll be Doing
Reporting to the Senior Manager of IT Voice Engineering & Infrastructure, this key engineering position is responsible for the engineering, design, deployment, management, and support for the TTEC Engage SIP and Carrier infrastructure.
As a member of the SIP Engineering Team, this individual will directly engineer, deploy, manage, and support Ribbon (f.k.a. Sonus) applications and carrier (TDM/SIP) infrastructure.
General Responsibilities
Validate builds for cost savings and drive circuit/carrier optimization projects to meet cost objectives
New Client Launch
Carrier to Carrier customer migrations
Technical leader for incidents, diagnosis and determining the most effective way of resolving outages, supporting L2 associates, cross functional teams, and vendors
Lead/Participate in testing new tools and developing operational requirements for monitoring
Coordinate testing of installed solution with customer applications
Perform vendor interaction, service reviews and maintenance
Forward thinking in audit and compliance efforts including risk review
Keep up to date documentation of procedures.
Review projects documentation from project delivery teams
Drive automation initiatives for the system maintenance activities
Participate in an On-Call Rotation and be ready to support the service during non-business hours

Protocols: SIP, H.323, QoS, DHCP, SNMP, SS7, ISUP, ISDN/PRI, Routing (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP)
Codecs – G.729, G.711, OPUS
Tools/Monitoring: Wireshark, NetScore, NetScout, VMWare (VMware ESXi, vSphere, vCenter)
Knowledge Requirement Desirables:
Cloud: Azure, AWS
CounterPath: BRIA, Stretto, Licensing
BroadSoft: Broadworks
Cisco: core/edge routing/switching applications/hardware and/or SIP/TDM Gateways
ACME: Session Border Controller and Translation Services
Call Control: Call Manager, Call Manager Express, Avaya Communication Manager, Avaya Session Manager
